Resin manufacturing facility, Germany

As part of the construction-accompanying structural engineering for a resin manufacturing facility in Germany, we provided the complete reinforced concrete detailed design documentation in accordance with HOAI, covering formwork and reinforcement planning as a fully integrated BIM-based 3D model. The facility presents significant structural engineering challenges driven by the demanding industrial environment: Heavy process loads and dynamic equipment loads required careful analysis and robust design of industrial floor slabs and load-bearing elements. The chemically aggressive environment, inherent to resin production, necessitated targeted measures in concrete specification and reinforcement detailing to ensure long-term durability and chemical resistance of all structural components. The construction-accompanying nature of the commission required close on-site coordination, rapid response to design changes and a continuous alignment between structural documentation and construction progress throughout the entire project duration. The entire design process was carried out as a fully integrated 3D model based on BIM methodology, encompassing formwork and reinforcement planning. This ensured precise coordination across all structural elements and provided a high level of documentation quality throughout the construction phase.

Scope:

  • Detailed construction design in reinforced concrete (in-situ concrete)
